Reclaimed oak, Scottish pebbles, boulders and steel steps were used to evoke a dockland-meets-beach theme just beside the Thames for Richmond, West London houseboat owners.

Waves of the vertical reclaimed oak beams rise and fall to contain the planting areas and to provide seating. The overall effect was softened by architectural planting and perennials such as eryngium, echinops, kniphofia and agapanthus.
